Appendix B: Shutter Override
B.1 SHUTTER MANUAL OVERRIDE
The following procedure must only be executed in an emergency situation where time is an issue. This
procedure outlines how to manually override the shutter when it remains partially open or closed.
When time permits this procedure should be followed up with actual replacement of the shutter
assembly. For details, refer to 2.8.9 Shutter Assembly, on page 2-53
.
1. Remove the lens from the lens mount.
2. Use your finger to manually move the shutter assembly up and down 2 to 3 times.
3. Verify shutter operation via the Douser Open/Close button on the CDP or through the web ui.
4. If any attempt to correct the shutter movement via the CDP or web ui failed, manual override will
be required.
5. Remove AC power from the projector and power down.
6. Cut either the red or black leads from the shutter motor (Figure B-1, B).
7. Manually move the shutter to either the open or close position (Figure B-1, C).
8. Replace the lens and reapply AC power to the projector.
