2.8.9 SHUTTER ASSEMBLY
The shutter is attached to the light engine prism. For additional details, refer to Appendix B: Shutter
Override.
(30 minutes)
1. Remove top lid. Refer to 2.5.5 Top Lid, on page 2-10
.
2. Remove the 6 screws securing the high security cover, unlock the high security access lock, lift the
lid and slide out.
3. Use a #2 Phillips™ to remove the 8 screws around the light engine cover and a flat head
screwdriver to remove the 2 captive screws. Lift the cover off. NOTE: Cutouts in the cover
provide access to the captive screws.
4. Use a 2mm Allen™ key to remove the 2 hex screws securing the light dump.
5. Pull the cardcage out and disconnect the shutter from the Motherboard. Refer to the Interconnect
Drawing. NOTE: Ensure the harness clips, securing the harnesses to the top of the cardcage are
removed before pulling the cardcage out.
6. Cut the cable tie to free the shutter harness.
7. Use a #2 Phillips to remove the 2 screws securing the shutter assembly (Figure 2-66).
8. Reverse the above steps to install. NOTE: Ensure the cardcage harness clips are reinstalled.
